Herb Study: May Day

May Day in Annapolis, 2009

Tuesday, May 3 – 5:00 pm

Join the Herb Study Group on Tuesday evening for some information about herbs used traditionally around May Day.  This time of year was when the Druids of the British Isles celebrated Beltane, welcoming spring back to the world.  Dancing around the maypole was one of the fun celebrations featured on this holiday, and of course, leaving May Baskets on the doorknobs or doorsteps of neighbors is a tradition that sometimes occurs even today.
